The 60th Anniversary Zilker Summer Musical: July 6 – August 18, 2018
The Zilker Hillside Theater is a popular outdoor theater in Austin that shows a different musical every summer free for the whole community. This 2018 summer musical, “All Shook Up,” focuses on the 1950’s, featuring Elvis’ top hits. You don’t want to miss it! It provides access to phenomenal performing arts experiences all summer Thursday – Sunday at 8:15 PM.
Go Explore Barton Creek Greenbelt!
Barton Creek Greenbelt is located in south-central Austin and offers a beautiful escape from the city into nature. It is one of the top hiking trails in Texas with about 13 miles of beautiful trails. This green space not only offers hiking, it also features waterfalls and popular swimming areas throughout the trail. You can easily stop and refresh yourself at any point and you are more than welcome to bring food to enjoy a little picnic. Dogs are also always welcomed!

If you need a break from this warm weather, come experience Barton Springs Pool! It is one of the most popular places to be in Austin! The pool temperature remains between 68° F and 74° F year round, which makes it the ideal spot to be during a long, hot summer day! The daily entry fee is also minimal.

Yes, it is back again this summer! If you are a music lover, you don’t want to miss these free concerts at Zilker Park. The Blues on the Green showcases a variety of Austin-based artists from a mixture of genres. Bring your blankets, invite some friends and enjoy some good music, food, and beverages in good company starting May 23rd.

Mount Bonnell, considered the highest point in Austin, is especially popular for sunrise and sunset. It offers a beautiful view on the lake, the city and its hills.
