When Bon Jovi visited Austin last month, not only did the legendary band rock the Frank Erwin Center stage – they also took over the city! How did they do it? With a bang of course! On the day of the concert, the City of Austin re-named Red River Street to Bon Jovi Boulevard and declared April 10, 2013 Bon Jovi Day! What better way to celebrate than having a pre-show party? Before the concert, fans enjoyed music, food and drinks and karaoke during the Bon Jovi Party on the Plaza right outside of the Frank Erwin Center. During the party, a special ceremony took place to honor Bon Jovi’s philanthropic contributions and musical accolades. Austin City Council member Laura Morrison along with Frank Erwin Center directors John Graham and Jimmy Earl were in attendance and spoke to the large crowd of dedicated fans.
