Behind the Scenes at the Denton A. Cooley Pavilion

The Denton A. Cooley Pavilion is home to the Texas men’s and women’s basketball teams. Named after UT basketball letterman Dr. Denton Cooley (1939-41), this two-level, 44,000-square foot facility is located next to the Frank Erwin Center – and we have a behind-the-scenes tour! Both teams have two separate 9,000-square foot practice court areas, locker rooms with a player’s lounge, an instructional film theater, a 4,100-square foot strength and conditioning area, an athletics training and hydrotherapy area and an academic resource and activity center. Take a virtual tour and see where the Texas men’s and women’s basketball teams spend the majority of their time practicing, training, lounging and studying.

Don’t forget, tomorrow marks the beginning of the 2013-2014 Texas Basketball season. This weekend, we’ll have not one, but two home games here at the Erwin Center. The Texas men’s basketball team will face Mercer tomorrow night at 7 p.m. and the Texas women’s basketball team will play UTSA at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
