On July 7, 2005, “The Original American Idol,” Kelly Clarkson, graced The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center stage during her “Hazel Eyes Tour,” her second North American tour as a headlining artist.
The sold out performance showcased songs from her sophomore album, “Breakaway” and also included fan favorites from her debut album, “Thankful.”
After taking the country by storm on the inaugural season of “American Idol,” this hometown girl from Fort Worth, Texas released her first album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Chart. Clarkson has since released five more albums that have sold over 20 million copies worldwide and has won three Grammy Awards.
Miss Independent’s incredibly successful career has put her in the spotlight for over a decade, but her most recent headlines highlight a different accomplishment, becoming a mother. Clarkson gave birth to River Rose, her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock on June 12 and according to her latest tweets, she is loving her new role as a mom.
