They say everything is bigger in Texas, and we at the Frank Erwin Center recently brought a new meaning to this phrase. With the 2013 Texas Football season quickly approaching, what better way to kick it off than with a pep rally? But not just any kind of pep rally – we hosted a Circus-sized one!

Since the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus visits the Frank Erwin Center every year, we held a pep-rally to kick-off the five-day circus run and the beginning of football season. Of course, no Texas pep rally would be complete without Hook ‘Em and The University of Texas Spirit Program!

Clown Alley hosted the event and welcomed children from the Neighborhood Longhorns Program and The University of Texas Child Development Center. The kids helped Hook ‘Em and Texas Cheer/Pom cheer on the iconic Asian elephants as they ate their pre-game meal and were also given official Ringling Bros. clown noses!
